problems with absolute positioning in ff and ie

I'm attempting to do simple layout using absolute positioning in CSS-works fine in Safari, but in FF and IE, my text overlaps my image.
I am using OS X 10.3.9 and realize that my version of ie is old (5.2) but the version of FF is relatively new (5.0)

Whoops! Next time I'll remember to post! (duh-what was I thinking? it was WAY too early in the morning for me.) However, I figured out the problem, I had in-line styles in the img tag which were opposite the absolute positions i put in my stylesheet. Interesting that Safari would ignore the inline style, as I have understood that the inline styles always take precedent over stylesheets-(which was how IE and FF read them.)
    thanks again-you guys are awesome
