can't find help on this - stumper

    Alright heres the situation.

i'm trying to design a fluid layout that works like this:

    header as bg image CSS

this image aligns on sides and bottom to next image

this next (middle) image is supposed to repeat as many times as there is content in that DIV (this is the fluid part) i.e. bg image in middle x100% x200% x300% in the Y direction.

the reason that it needs to completely repeat the image (which means no repeat unless its the full image in Y) is that the bottom of it tiles with itself AND tiles with the footer image.

ideas? suggestions? do you need to see the code/images? any help is appreciated. the only similar post i've found got no reply at all.

Thanks for taking the time to read this,

    Philippe

    Bottom alignment?

Without seeeing the actual images it remains a guessing exercise, but in any case it's impossible to repeat an image a discrete number of times; it'll be shown for as much as there is room for it to be seen, and will repeat if told so, even if there's just room for 101% (to give a random example).

What might work in your case is to align the image to the bottom of the containing element; this way, the bottom of it should always line up with the footer background, and still repeat upwards as much as there is room for it.
    Regards,
    Ronald.
