Question Text Area control size ?

Does anyone know if there is a maximum length to the amount of text that a text area can hold? I'm guessing it's 32k, but I don't know.

Also, is this max length the same for all browsers?

The maximum size of a textarea depends on whether you're using GET or POST for your form. The maximum size using GET is a whole lot smaller than when using POST because the maximum size for a GET type post will be reached before you pass the maximum for a textarea.

The actual maximums are more dependant on the browser you're using, the server software the results get posted to and the server side code you're using the collect the results. Any one of those could impose a smaller maximum than any of the others.
