    Question HTML Table Backgrounds

    I had a question about adding backgrounds to tables and table cells. Is it possible to add a background in either one of these instances and not have it repeat if the table is bigger than the picture? And then if so, how can I do this and make it center in the table or cell that I am inserting it into. I am mainly curious for IE browsers, but if others allow it as well, please let me know. Thanks very much!

    Cheers!
    Eric

    <style>
    td { /* Or whichever selector you chose */
    background-image: url(images/bg.gif); /* Or some valid URI */
    background-position: center center;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-attachment: fixed;
    }
    </style>
