    Static Background Not Working

    My static background works in Internet Explorer and Webstractor. Not in Safari, Netscape, or Firefox. Is there someway to fix the code, so the static background will work with all/most browsers?

    This is the webpage with the static background:

    Don't use bgproperties="FIXED".

    Use CSS... You've used inline CSS but really you should place it all at the top to make it a bit easier to edit, and then place it into an external file.

    But to solve your problem, you should replace -

    <body style="background-image: url(../imagesbg/celticbg05a.jpg);" bgproperties="FIXED">

    With -

    <body style="background: url(../imagesbg/celticbg05a.jpg) fixed;">

    Using html markup and css inline markup doesn't make sense to me.

    Just use this then:
    Code:
    <body background="blabla.gif" bgproperties="fixed">
    It's one way or another...

    Static Background Working! Thanks!!

    Hey mark87, thanks! That is so tight man. The fixed background is working in Safari, Netscape, Firefox, IE, and Webstractor. Now, back to working on various menus, right now a menu bar ....

    bgproperties is not a standard attribute...

    "The property, for example, specifies whether the picture is a fixed watermark or scrolls with the page. This attribute/property is supported only by Microsoft Internet Explorer."

    No problem, vjamacaddict.
