how to autorun a website on a CDROM?

I want to build a small website that gives my customers information and then put it on a CDROM and send it to them. What I really want is for the home page of the website to auto load into their browser window when they put the CDROM into the CDROM drive.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

    Phil

John Krutsch one of our moderators wrote a batch program to do exactly that. Might want to send him a message asking about it. You could also search through the "Old forum posts and archive" link in the upper right corner and see if you can find the threads on it.

i think the appropriate descriptive phrasing is "totally incredibly unbelievably absolutely amazingly swell and nifty". admittedly, "cool" i shorter, but it doesn't have the same feel.

Yeah, really cool, to bad it misaligned completely after browsing around a bit; after that, it all went horribly wrong...
    Regards,

Thanks for the compliments, although I must admit that the idea for the navigation came from several sites that I have seen over the years. I had a good time scripting out the DHTML that runs it though.

Ronald, criticism is also welcome but only when it is useful, PM me with browser and platform information so I can see what you are seeing.

    Yes,
that happened to me also, its only when you click the wrong link to navigate to another section ... dont think it has anything to do with a browser John
