    Popular CSS Sites?

    Hey All,

What are some big name sites that are done in CSS? The latest that comes to mind is download.com's redesign. Very nice ..

    www.download.com

    What others?

Yes it was written in CSS. But you might want to look at this http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht....download.com/ There are only 1163 errors. Not too bad I guess for a newbie.

At least it's an attempt. I haven't further dove into the code, but there may be some things at their end (codewise) that had to be done against standards. Granted, that's still a lot of errors.

However if nothing else, they are a fairly big-time site that's taken the plunge. I can only think of ESPN as the other one ..

Someone help me out here ..

    Hahahaha! Nice one
Note: I do not test code. I just write it off the top of my head. There might be bugs in it! But if any thing I gave you the overall theory of what you need to accomplish. Also there are plenty of other ways to accomplish this same thing. I just gave one example of it. Other ways might be faster and more efficient.

While not a lot of these are big name sites, they are ones that (should) validate clean: Examples of layouts using valid XHTML and CSS

If they are bosses just tell them that this is a standard that Web browsers will be using for years to come. That way you wont have to redo the site in a few years

I suspect that about 75% of the errors there are simply ghosts. When the validator sees something it doesn't understand it goes nuts.

Yeah I'm definitely a fan of the Zen garden ..

I could use my own site (www.witchkraftracing.com), which shouldn't have any errors (knock on wood, I haven't checked it lately ), but I need corporate-big name sites.

I'd say Disney is quite a big name

Also there's a write up about it by the developers http://www.malarkey.co.uk/Disney_Store_case_study.aspx
