    what does this mean

    If you look at the View source of yahoo home page (www.yahoo.com) there is the following code:

    <style media=all>

    What does this mean in cascading style sheet? Becasue usually when we write .css we write like

    <style type="text/css)

    Also they have some weired stuff like

    body{font:84%/1.2em arial,sans-serif;direction:ltr}

    So is it accepted widely direction:ltr? Does this mean the direction of the writing is from left to right?

    Can some one explain me this?

    style media="whatever" allows you to specify different stylesheets for different kinds of displays. For instance, screen is for a normal browser, handheld is for pda's, and print is for when you print.

    direction:ltr appears to be for printing (as opposed to direction:landscape or something.) It's kind of redundant, since pages print in that direction anyway (somebody please correct me if i'm wrong.)

    Nope, direction of the text. Left to right in English
