see-through tables not compatible in firefox/opera

    http://www.thebackalleys.com/
is my site. if you visit in MSIE you see the main table is see-through.
if you visit in firefox/opera it is green or blue respectively.
is this a problem with my CSS http://www.thebackalleys.com/rtil.css or what? I need to fix this problem ASAP as 25% of my visitors use firefox.

    You'll need to use
    Code:
opacity:0.80; /*later mozilla browsers and browsers that support opacity*/
    -moz-opacity:0.80; /*earlier mozilla browsers*/
    -khtml-opacity:0.80; /*safari browsers*/
    filter:alpha(opacity=80); /*some internet explorer browsers*/
The one you have currently is as you have discovered an IE only filter.

thanks for the alpha help but i just figured this out. it's because my tables are set to the color "transparent". should i just get rid of that and do the old alpha filter set to 0? it wouldn't make any difference, right?
