    Question Win IE obliterates border - help!

    Please take a look at the following URL: http://www.expressandstar.com/content/index.php
    (Stylesheet: http://www.expressandstar.com/conte.../css_styles.css)

    Basically the arrangement goes:

    <topcontainer> Container for next two elements
    <areahead>The "Business logo", floated left
    <banner>The random banner ad
    <clear>Sets clear for "both"
    <end of topcontainer>

    Then remainder of page (basically a three column layout based on Dan Schafer's Designing Without Tables Using CSS). Footer at bottom added with another <clear> div.

    Wanting a 1px line below the two top graphics, I originally set this up using the bottom border of <topcontainer>. This looked fine in all browsers on my Mac (including IE) and on all browsers on Windows - except IE, where it appears to get obliterated as the page was rendered. For those of you who can see it, I've coloured it green for now.

    I then tried to get around this problem by instead setting border properties for the <areahead> and <banner> divs instead (red and blue lines respectively here for clarity). But while this again looked fine in Firefox and other less-used browsers, in Windows IE the two borders don't line up horizontally.

    This is my first table-less design and I could really do with some help, guys! All contributions welcomed.

    Fixed!

    Oops! Had a missing </div> and the clear class wasn't working. Please ignore the above
