    struggling to support ie

    www.pitt.edu/~jrf27

    i am using positioned divs to generate the 'frame' effect, and the content is the only one that is to move. it works 100% in firefox. ie is buggy.

    any ideas to get those divs positioned in a more pleasing way when viewed with ie? i understand that ie does not support position:fixed, and i dealt with it appropriately in my stylesheet, and i am happy with the way it turned out, but still, i am wanting more out of it.

    Try adding this to your content div:
    Code:
    height: 400px;
    overflow: auto;
    You would want to change the height to whatever size you want it to be, but I think you get the picture. You will also need to adjust your width to fit the scrollbar. You may want to remove the fixed positioning as well so it looks the same in both browsers.
