    Angry More IE frustration

    I have looked at most of the hacks concerning the repugnant IE, and floats not aligning! And I cannot make heads or tails out of any of them. I don't know exactly where to add the hack code? All of my pages worked okay in all browsers when I used tables and published non-valdeted pages. Now I try to code to specs, and validate my pages, and I just can't seem to get around this dreadful IE. Again, I cannot say it loud enough how much I detest that Microsoft. If Gates gets his way none of this coding to spec will make a difference anyway! It's just pathetic!

    Depressed,
    Michael

    Hi weazel,

    Here it is;

    I got the Mac IE hack to work, but IE 6.0 for windows is a lost cause.

    Thanks,
    Michael

    I think I've got it...well it works in IE and FF locally anyway - reduce #containerarea's width to 358px from 360px...I don't know why FF isn't producing the same error with the floats as IE is/was.

    That worked for me as I downloaded your pages of your site and edited them here.

    Also I'm not too keen on the mouse-overs on the images as they shift the text and make the site look weird.

    hth,
    Jamie.

    Thanks Jamie. That worked great, why I could not see that. . .

    As for the images, I don't know how else to do it, short of removing the links to larger images. I agree, it does make the text look weird.

    Again, thanks,
    Michael
