    action-less forms

    Hey,

    I have an hidden actionless form, which is being used in correlation with javascript to store a text string for later use. but xhtml strict wont requires an action...is there any way of telling the browser that there is no action required?

    There IS no submit button..so this form doesnt go anywhere, therefore i dont need an action...but xhtml strict requires one

    Required action

    Have you tried an empty URL string?
    Code:
    <form action="" ... >

    Why aren't you just using javascript variables then? If the form has no action and it's just holding data... Use variables
