    ...{CSS table size question}...

    Hello, I want to make my table width's all to a set number... This is for myspace.com profile I have. When someone posts a comment, it doesnt always wrap, leaving me with long un-even page design. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Heres the code I have.

    Code:
    <style type="text/css">
    table, td { background-color:transparent; border:none; border-width:0;}
    body{background-image:url("http://www.geocities.com/dvs1221/pennywise.jpg");
    background-attachment:fixed;
    background-position:center;
    background-repeat:no-repeat; }
    table table table {border:1px solid; border-color:CC0000; padding:1; }
    table table{border:0px}
    table table table table{border:0px}
    font, td, a, body, input, textarea, table{color:FFFFFF;font-family:arial;}
    body, td, li, p, div, textarea, li, h1, h2, p, br {font-family: arial; color: FFFFFF; }
    </style>
    Thanks in advance.

    Width?

    Aaannnd.... where do you actually set a width to any td?
    I'd love to see the markup these styles should apply to, but it seems you've gone out of your way to avoid classes and ids. There's no shame in that, you know...

    You can use the width property to set table and/or td widths to your liking; if you can offer a peek at the markup, a more directed answer woudlbe possible.
    Regards,
    Ronald.

    Sticky

    Chris,

    At the top of this forum you can find the HTML&CSS Documentation & References sticky; here you'll find a boatload of useful information.

    If you're looking for tutorials to get started on CSS, I can recommend HTML Dog; they offer decent tuts for beginner, intermediate and advanced CSS, and a handy property reference.
    A good read on CSS selectors (which determine what rule applies to what markup) is Maxdesign's Selectutorial.

    I'll see if I can take a look at your page lateron; I have to get some work done first...
    Regards,
    Ronald.
