Unhappy Automatically update links on pages

    Hi,
On my site I have 22 pages, and on each page I have links to all the others. So when I add, edit or remove a page I have to edit all 22 pages. I was wondering if there was a way to have the links kept in one file on my server, and have the links from that file show up as links on all my pages.

    Thankyou

Yes this is possible but you'll have to use a server side language like PHP or ASP to what you want. There are several variations that you can adopt. You can have a single txt file which you edit everytime you update a page, and then have the server side language read out the lines in the file and display each as a link. You could also use a database to store the links, but as you're only thinking of using it to store a list of links it's a bit of a waste of a database.

You'll need to find out firstly if your server supports server side languages and if so which ones it does. Then when you know this you can get this post moved to the appropriate forum, for the next bit of help.
