Can I duplicate this look in CSS?

    http://www.gamexplain.com/gxtest.jpg

See that image? Can I duplicate that look in CSS?

I know I could simply post the background as an image and place the objects I want over it, but is there another way to get that exact look? Notice that the background is a gradient (mid gray to dark gray) and the dividing line that connects the light gray border. And of course the entire thing is surrounded by a black border.

Thanks, because I'm a CSS idiot.

setup a span, make the gradient as the Background, then write the text and image over it. that would be the best way, I think

PHP Tip: If you want to use short tags (<? or <?=$var) then make sure short_open_tag is set to "1". It really helps.

I'd use a div, as it should contain block-level elements.
