keeping sites from linking to your graphics

    Hi

I recall reading about a tag one could put on his website if you want to restrict any given URL from linking to your graphics. A friend of mine has this happening on their website, where thousands of people are linking to some graphics on his page and using up a lot of his bandwidth. He's asked them to remove the link, but the website owner won't respond.

Isn't there some type of html tag you can include on your html page to keep a certain URL from visting and or link to your page?

    Thanks for any feedback

That's called hotlinking... There are a few ways to prevent this, but there's a great, almost foolproof method here:

    Hope it helps,
