    Question How do I control the COLSPAN attribute centralized? Does such CSS attribute exist?

    In all my pages I have a place like this:
    Code:
    <td colspan="5">
    . I frequently need to change this value. Can I do it without manually replacing the tags in all those pages?

    Nope. Although colspan is sort of a style description, if you think of it in terms of tabular data it's more of a data, or content, description, which is why it's in the HTML and not the CSS. If you are using colspan to help lay out your site I'd suggest moving away from that and using CSS, otherwise you're stuck manually changing those everytime.

    what type of scripting does your server support? PHP, ASP, etc. I know with php you can have a variable that is the same through out all of your pages, and that variable is set in some file somewhere, just not sure where, so if you changed just that variable it should disperse to the rest of the pages, but unless your host doesn't support php or asp or some type of server side language then u may be out of luck
