    error processing server side include.

    Hi,

    I have an shtml page made up of three files. The middle of the three throws up an error yet the url workos when you type it through the address bar of the browser.

    Can anyone suggest what I may have done wrong?
    Here are the three lines where toe first and last work.
    Code:
    <!--#include virtual="header.html"-->
    <!--#include virtual="http://cms.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/pier36/Events/publicindex.pl/Events"-->
    <!--#include virtual="footer.html"-->

    I've never used this type of include, but maybe it's the absolute path?

    Are you able to include the header or footer by calling the full URI?

    Good start. Now finish the job.

    Bazz, this really is a stab in the dark, as I know next to nothing about this - but I think the include call and the absolute path could be at odds with each other?

    Give this a try:

    Code:
    <!--#include virtual="header.html"-->
    <!--#include file="http://cms.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/pier36/Events/publicindex.pl/Events"-->
    <!--#include virtual="footer.html"-->
    I think 'virtual' and 'file' depends on the type of path you use - I dunno, I'm out of my depth on this, but this is what I could gather from a brief conversation this afternoon, with a friend who uses asp quite a bit.

    Kind Regards,

    Gary

    Yep, looks like you're close, Gary...

    Hopefully that'll answer everything
