    help with relative alignment in IE 6 on Windows machine

    I seem to be having an alignment problem in just IE on a PC. Every other browser/platform I've tried has thte pop-up menu show up where I want it to:

    http://www.flarealert.com/new/index.html

    Hover over the "About FlareAlert" menu item in the lower left of the site and a 3-item pop-up menu should appear above the mouse. In IE on a PC, it appears WAY down below on the page. Here's my div:

    Code:
    <div id=Ser style="width: 208px; height: 52px; position:relative; z-index:1; visibility:hidden; left: 40px; top: -95px; ">
    <table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tr><td bgcolor="#FFB928"><table border=0 cellpadding=1 cellspacing=1><tr id="sr1" bgcolor="#000000">
      <td><a href="economics.html" target=_top class=menu onMouseOver="menuOver('rollimg2');setBgColor('sr1','#990000')" onMouseOut="menuOut('rollimg2');setBgColor('sr1','#000000')"><img src="images/shim.gif" width="5" height="2" border="0">The Economics</a></td>
    </tr><tr id="sr2" bgcolor="#000000"><td><a href="incendiary.html" target=_top class=menu onMouseOver="menuOver('rollimg2'),setBgColor('sr2','#990000')" onMouseOut="menuOut('rollimg2'),setBgColor('sr2','#000000')"><img src="images/shim.gif" width="5" height="2" border="0">Incendiary Flares</a></td>
    </tr><tr id="sr3"  bgcolor="#000000"><td><a href="testing.html" target=_top class=menu onMouseOver="menuOver('rollimg2'),setBgColor('sr3','#990000')" onMouseOut="menuOut('rollimg2'),setBgColor('sr3','#000000')"><img src="images/shim.gif" width="5" height="2" border="0">Independent Testing</a></td>
    </tr></table></td></tr></table></div>
    It all shows up fine and dandy on every browser on my mac, and also Firefox on Windows. Can anyone tell me if there's some quick fix I don't know of for this?

    Thanks!

    Scripts

    I suspect it has something to do with any of the tons of scipts you've got in there; check the shLayer function that gets called on mouseover.

    In general, I feel like you rely way to much on all sorts of JavaScript functions where pure and simple CSS may get you a long way.

    You're probably right. But my limited knowledge of CSS has me searching the web for free "scripts" or chunks of code that will do this. I'd love to be able to do it without the javascript, but I'm not sure how.

    If anyone could point me to a web page explaining image map pop-up CSS menus, or better yet help me strip the javascript from my code and have it work with just the CSS, that would be great!

    Thanks,
