Pulling up Access database for viewing only

I am trying to pull up an Access 2000 database on my info server for just viewing from a link:

    Code:
    <a href="http://myserver/myDatabase.mdb">database</a>

    <a href="http:\\myserver\myDatabase.mdb">database</a>

    <a href="file:\\myserver\myDatabase.mdb">database</a>
Please advise because none are working and says "Page cannot be displayed."

Try forward instead of backward slashes?

Maybe there is trouble showing a mdb-file. Maybe your server doesn't allow you calling mdb-file, for security or permission reason? Try calling a html-file from that location, see what it does.

You sure the database is in that directory? Cos i just tried that link now on my pc and it worked. Try it first on your machine, if it works and it doesn't work from the server, then it's likely a restriction problem
