Having trouble with a 2col layout

I have a two column layout that uses a border-left and negative margins to create the left column. Fine with me, but changing the color of this column is proving difficult in FF. IE changes the color fine, but FF is white no matter what. Page is here I would like the entire column to be #CCD

firefox is having trouble because you have an HTML comment in your css...which is illegal..make it /* Comment */ ... if that doesn't fix it, write back
