    HTML E-mails

I've been getting junk e-mails in which hyperlinks are clickable images. How are people doing that?

I tried to send e-mails with proper HTML tags to myself, and when the e-mails arrived, all the tags were still visible. I even tried to use an image as a link without any success. Is there a trick to sending out HTML e-mails?

    <a href="http://www.site.com/"><img src="image.gif" alt="My Image"></a>

Show us the code that you used to send yourself an HTML email (I assume you used a server-side language like PHP?)....

Perhaps the HTML/CSS forum is the wrong forum for this kind of question?

You have to include the proper headers in the email to get it to parse your message as html. I know that there are techniques for doing this in server-side script, such as PHP. I just don't know what any of those are

A google search should help, though; I'd try the terms "html email headers php" or something similar.
