    css styles - input:text, input:radio

    if i define in css border to input, an ugly border around radio button and vheckbox appears. any solutions how to cancel the ugly border?

    ok, i know, i could use different css classes, yes. any other suggestions?

    As far as I know, not really... although using different ids is easy enough, as each input will likely have it's own id assigned to it anyway...

    one way might be to override that style at a more local level, its not ideal I'll admit, but if the elements (radio buttons and checkboxes) had local style applied, it would override the other css.
    I know, not Ideal, but it would work.

    Attribute selectors aren't supported by Internet Explorer.

    I've chosen to do <input type="radio" class="radio" />. Same for <input type="text" class="text" /> and <input type="submit" class="button" /> etc.

    Otherwise, you could rely on a DOM script to go through and strip all radio boxes of their styles, but then you'd be relying on JS.

    In the meantime IE8 handles input[type='radio'] good.
