    list font

What font is used by browsers for list symbols: disc, circle, square?
. We are, in a nutshell.

I think it depends on what font is set for ul, li, the container the list is in, or what has been set for the body. If it is a default font, the user can change it in their browser anyway. If you really want the bullets to look the same (or very similar at least) I recommend using a background image for the bullets. See http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listutorial/index.htm for some good tutorials on lists.

I see that bullets are static, unaffected by changes in font styles, such as size and family.

Why does Mozilla render disc & circle in a diamond shape?
