    Doctype Help

    I looked around but I am still confused as to what doctype to use for my site.

    Depends on whether you want to trigger standards or quirks mode. I would suggest HTML4.01, either Transitional or Strict, with a url. (That triggers standards mode.)

    I'd probably use HTML 4.01 Strict. Or, if you're ready move on to XHTML 1.0 (but if you do it's probably best to use strict).

    Tip: Try not to use .bmp images for horizontal rules - a .gif file would download much quicker .
