    how do i create an email with images that arent attachments?

    I used frontpage to create an email html file that has images externally loading from another site. but for some reason, every time i send the email, it sends the images as attachments, which irritates some people. how can i send the email with images not as attachments?

    You could encode them using base64. Do a Google search for it. For instance, this code has an embedded gif image
    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
    <html>
    	<body>
    		<object data="data:image/gif;base64,

    Otherwise, tell these people to get an email client that displays image attachments within the page.

    is that how all major companies send email, thru base 64? it seems rather complicated...plus, i tried copying & pasting your code to make a new html file, but when i went to view it in IE it was just a blank page w/no image at all.

    No, all images are sent as attachments. If the image is shown in the document, it's because the email client is showing them there.[/quote]i tried copying & pasting your code to make a new html file, but when i went to view it in IE it was just a blank page w/no image at all.[/QUOTE]You don't say. That may have something to do with Internet Explorer and the fact that it's a **** browser.
