    textarea echo past text

Hello, I'm doing a update paragraph page. I have a <textarea> ... </textarea> tag and in between there is a echoed text via php extracted from a previous form that inserted text in the first place. The problem when I echo the "old" text is that it displays in the middle of the textarea (a few lines down) and not the top where it was originally entered. Any idea where these extra <br>s come from when echoing?

    Thanks :P
