    minor issue, but need help: <div> spacing

    http://www.esultants.com/d/dynamiclog/

    In IE6, there is a small amount of vertical space between the banner and the main nav that I cannot explain. My adding some debug borders, I was able to determine that the whole containing <div> for the main nav is pushed down, not just the <ul> or something.

    I dunno what it could be though. It's gotta be a combination of block level, inline, etc. Just making a weird soup that IE does funky, 'cause, really, the markup and style rules are painfully simple, as they should be.

    well, for now i've applied the * html hack to account for the space difference in IE6. despite what i think should happen, IE5.01 doesn't apply the * hack, but IE5.5 does creating a slight disparity in the header appearance. except for IE5.5, other IEs and FireFox display uniformly on a PC.

    for those that aren't aware, this is the syntax of the * html hack:

    Code:
    * html #selector {}
    according to this:

    http://centricle.com/ref/css/filters/tests/star_html/

    that should pass whatever rules specified to IEs only, but as i described, IE5.01 doesn't seem to take it.
