Question Using MP3 as background music

I was told that it was possible to stream an mp3 and then use it as background music on a webpage.

Is this possible? If so, how would a person accomplish this? What software would be needed? Would this be too difficult for the average newbie etc?

Keep the loading times in mind. Not all of your users have broadband.

Another thing to remember is that people may not want to listen to music, so you should provide them a way to turn it off

And that a lot of people will be angry at you for including it, even if there is an option to turn it off.

If I were you, I wouldn't do it.
