    You can't find it because it's never been even in discussion about including it in the HTML standard. And now it's too late.

    It may not be legalised, but I think it's been decriminalised in some European countries. Even in the UK, they generally let you off now.

    Here in Amsterdam, you can freely use the src attribute in every Internet cafť, even the police are looking the other way...

    There was a big argument recently lately when it was decided that in the UK it should be dropped from a class B to a class C (but it's still illegal!)

    Yep, object. It seems that tag is intended to replace all sorts of other tags, IMG, IFRAME, APPLET...
