    Question Disappearing icons

    My problem is:

    sometimes, some icon images on my website just do not show for no apparent reason at all.

    I do a couple of 'refresh'es, and so on, and then they come. but can re'disappear' right away on most cases.

    I cannot find any reason why so I wanted to ask you.

    (And it's always the same ones that I have problems with)

    Thanks.

    Sorry mate, my mind reading program is down at the moment.
    Can you please post either:
    a. The snippet of code w/ the icons
    OR preferably
    b. A link to the hosted page, in all its messed up glory.

    Andrew

    I take no responsibility for the above nonsense.

    The page is located at: http://www.fiscalstudy.com

    The icon I am talking about is the one repeated after each line with the "img alt" value "details".

    Sometimes I see it, sometimes I don't.

    ---

    A second one is located at: http://www.fiscalstudy.com/fore.php

    first icon: the pdf icon.

    the second one: the "buy now" button.

    sometimes both are there. sometimes just one. sometimes none of them.

    ---

    I know this sounds quite stupid. But this is what's happening. Is there something wrong with the script. or is it something else?

    Aaarrrghh...My eyes! I'm blinded by thousands of <font> tags

    This is a weird one, next time it happens, view the source and make sure the <img /> tags are being written properly.
    If not, then your script has issues, and you should post it in the relevant server side forum.
    But that doesn't explain the .pdf icon, which is part of a static page...
    I just don't know, especially as I can't get my machine to have the same prob.
    Sorry,
    Andrew

    I forget how to explain why it happens but it has something to do with the browser thinking the image has already been loaded when you call for the image multiple times on the page.

    To fix it. Add a querry and a number to fool the browser into thinking it is a different image.

    eg:
    <img alt="details" src="http://www.fiscalstudy.com/im/details.gif?1" width="10" height="12" border="0">

    <img alt="details" src="http://www.fiscalstudy.com/im/details.gif?2" width="10" height="12" border="0">
