    green glow css

    Hi, i am trying something new, a green glow around a button using css.

    Code:
    .greenglow{
    -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 5px 7px #11ee5f;
    -moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 5px 7px #11ee5f;
    box-shadow: 0px 0px 5px 7px #11ee5f;
    filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Glow(Color=#11ee5f,Strength=5);
    }
    but its not passing W3C and not sure why

    .greenglow attempt to find a semi-colon before the property name. add it
    .greenglow Property progid doesn't exist : DXImageTransform
    .greenglow Parse Error DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Glow(Color=#11ee5f,Strength=5);
    .greenglow Parse Error }
    i tried
    Code:
    filter:;progid: and filter;:progid and filter;progid:
    im wondering if i should put some of this into an if ie css all by itself
    thanks

    yep that seemed to do the trick.. i just moved the filter............ line to ieonly css and added the if to the head section and it passes...

    on another note i am getting some warnings regarding another idea i had but i think that too shall be solved with doing the same with ie only css.

    Property -webkit-box-shadow is an unknown vendor extension
    Property -moz-box-shadow is an unknown vendor extension
    Property -moz-opacity is an unknown vendor extension
    Property -moz-opacity is an unknown vendor extension
    Property -webkit-gradient(linear,right bottom,left bottom,color-stop(0,#0AF550),color-stop(0.61,#DDFADA)) is an unknown vendor extension
    Property -o-linear-gradient(left,#0AF550 0%,#DDFADA 61%) is an unknown vendor extension
    Property -moz-linear-gradient(left,#0AF550 0%,#DDFADA 61%) is an unknown vendor extension
    Property -webkit-linear-gradient(left,#0AF550 0%,#DDFADA 61%) is an unknown vendor extension
    Property -ms-linear-gradient(left,#0AF550 0%,#DDFADA 61%) is an unknown vendor extension
    after some reading i found that the warnings are preferable to errors so this was a w3c improvement to show warnings rather than errors for these items as they would be false positives for errors. so i will leave them i suppose.
