Aligning table of navigational buttons w/ an image
I'm very new at this, so please bear with me. I've created several navigational buttons which are placed inside a table that I want to keep on the left side of my homepage. I am trying to place a decent size image to the right of that table, but still fairly centered. Does anyone know how to do this. Everytime I try, the image either ends up above or below the table of buttons, rather than beside it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

First, welcome to the forums...
Second, since you are new at this (HTML) please do yourself (and others) a favor by learning xhtml and css instead of table layout-- table layout was the old way of doing things, and since you're in the learning stages now it makes more sense to learn the right way Take a look.
Third, if I understand the design you're talking about, you'll have to put the image in a cell of the table, not outside of it, like this:
<table> <tr><td>cell 1</td><td rowspan="4">big image</td></tr> <tr><td>cell 2</td></tr> <tr><td>cell 3</td></tr> <tr><td>cell 4</td></tr> </table>
