    can't figure out what I am doing wrong

    trying to set up design while having a bad head cold is not working for me and could really use some help, because I am just not seeing what the problem is....I am attaching a picture of what the overall page should look like...there is a background image that should be tiling down, but is going sideways for whatever reason, and a header and footer image that are not showing up at all...help please, and be kind, I really am sick as a dog

    Page url is Author: Philip C Elrod

    Hi there purplerose,

    just out of curiosity, what was I doing wrong ?
    I wasn't curious enough to find out.

    In fear of contracting your head cold, I just recoded it completely.

    Coothead, have a problem...started adding content to the page, replacing the temporary verbiage you put in and the middle section is scrolling like an iframe, why is it doing that? I want the middle section to expand/contract as needed...is there something I am doing wrong or need to adjust?

    Hi there purplerose,

    no, you have not done anything wrong.
    I coded it like that, just to show the scrolling method.

    To make it expand with the contents, just change this...
    Code:

    #content {
        height:400px;
        padding:30px;
        overflow:auto
     }
    ...to this...
    Code:

    #content {
        padding:30px;
     }

    Hey Coothead, don't know if you will see this post or not, praying that you will....I have altered the top and bottom graphics on the above layout, only real difference beside pictures are that the bottom graphic is significantly smaller than the original...my question is this, considering that I already have another background tiling behind it, is it possible to create a footer container making the bottom graphic as the background so that I can move my copyright information down to there, and if so, how exactly should I code that so as not to screw up that beautifully written code you already did for me? Loads of thanks in advance for any help and again many many thanks for your previous assistance !!
