    Question one hyperlink, two pages

I need to inform my site users about something important.

In order to achieve this, I want to let a new window pop up when the user goes to the concerned site area.

For this, he/she basically clics on a hyperlink in the menu.

Let's say the link should bring him/her to "page2.html" and at the same time open a new window "page3.html".
How should the link tag look like ?

    Tks a lot

    JavaScript

    Fred,

First of all, be aware that most people aren't too fond of pop-ups, especially unsolicited ones.
That said, the easiest way to create one is using a bit of JavaScript; I think you stand a better chance in the appropriate forum. If a willing moderator would be so kind to move the thread, I'm sure one of the script gurus can come up with something nice.
If you want the popup every time the accompanying page is loaded, regardless of how someone gets there, you could execute the popup script on load of that page.
    Regards,
    Ronald.

    Thanks for your advice Ronald,

I have copied the post into the right forum (if an admin reads this: this thread can be deleted).

I also normally hate unsollicited pop-ups, but this one is on a professional page and does not show any advertisement. It is about useful information for our customers because of internal changes in order processing. They will not complain !
