    Use of padding

    Hello

    On my main 'test' page which is here: http://www.bayingwolf.com/India/index.html, I have an unordered list which forms my menu. The list is contained within this 'div': <div id="nav">
    </div>

    The list (the menu along the top) is too close to the image which appears below it, so I was going to extend the 'padding bottom' attribute in my external CSS stylesheet here: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" />

    Do I introduce {padding-bottom:25px;}, for example, in my CSS stylesheet here:

    Code:
    #nav {
    position: absolute;
    top: 0; left: 0;
    width: 980px;
    height: 62px;
    line-height: 62px;
    font-family: Tangerine, cursive;
    }
    Thanks.

    Hello,

    You can adjust the 'line-height' with a lower value, for example uses the dev tool in Chrome and edit '62px', to '100%'.

    Good Luck!

    Code:
    #nav
    {
    position: absolute;
    top: 0; left: 0;
    width: 980px;
    height: 62px;
    line-height: 100%;
    font-family: Tangerine, cursive;}
    Thanks, Devpy

    That worked a treat!

    Cheers
