    clip:rect(0 0 0 0) what are the values

    clip:rect(0 0 0 0)

    What are the 0's?

    x,y,w,h?

I dunno, I just can't seem to figure it out, or figure out where to find out.

    Thanks
    Steve

In the same way everything else in CSS tends to be, it is top, right, bottom, left. See the CSS2 specs about it, <http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2/visufx.html#clipping>

Thanks. Between all the programs I use I wish o,o,o,o would be

    x,y,w,h

    IN everything.

    Thanks

Well, there are benefits of using values relative to the box edges instead of width/height values. There are also drawbacks. CSS has a few drawbacks with it's box model, because it is not versatile enough in some cases.

(Note that clipping isn't especially well supported.)

In what way is clipping not supported?

    Like not in netscape?

    What should I try instead?

    Thanks

More like moz, op7, and ie5.5w & ie6w only. Possibly saf as well. Ie5.0w, iem, nn4, op6 and lower does not support it.
