Code for formatting the body of an email.

    Hi
Im trying to set up a link so visitors to my site to email me and am using the following code:
    Code:
    <a href="mailto:email@echoecho.com?subject=SweetWords
    &body=Please send me a copy of: X magazine Y magazine!">Email Me</a>
The link works in general, but I would like to format the text in the body only so that it is italicised and the X magazine appears on a new line
and the Y magazine appears on another new line.
    To appear like this...

Please send me a copy of:
    X magazine
    Y magazine

Also is the exclamation mark after the Y magazine (in the code) part of the code, or is it part of the request for the magazines.

BTW I copied this section of code from a forum, hence the exclamation markquestion.

    Thanks in advance

You can’t format text in an e-mail from a mailto link. For one, to have formatted text (incluing custom line breaks) in e-mails in the first place the e-mail needs to be written in HTML itself. And besides the fact that people can generally disable HTML in e-mails (so, you cannot have an influence on whether or not they see formatted text at all) you can definitely not create an HTML e-mail from a mailto link.
