According to that article, changing your media query to "em" units rather than "px" units could solve the problem. I don't own or have access to an iPad, so I'll admit that I am not at all up to speed on that aspect or if it is still an issue with webkit at all, but it's at least one place to look.The object of opening the mind, as of opening the mouth, is to shut it again on something solid. –G.K. there it is if you wanted to see it working. Play with the browser window size to see things move around and such.
I hope this topic discussion will serve others looking to achieve something similar.
