    about z-index

how to use css z-index effectively?

i just notice that sometimes its working. sometimes not. I also try to give it a high # like z-index: 999; but still not working.

Keep in mind that z-index only works on positioned elements. This always helped me.

Try z-index: 1 sometime; it's just as good as whatever huge number you can come up with and it'll save you a few bytes to boot.
For every complex problem, there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.
