ticker.js cannot be found. If that is your external file to support the JS, then that is most likely your problem.

Any time a script works local and breaks online, you should immediately suspect a missing support file. Perhaps your path is wrong, or perhaps you forgot to upload it.

And it doesn't piss me off; I have plenty of things to worry about without being concerned about your coding style. It's just foolish, IMO, to try to fix something cosmetic while the entire structure of the webpage resembles Hiroshima, Japan in August 1945.

It's like buying duct tape to reattach your bumper when your transmission is blown.

People come to these forums to learn, and progress in the art and science of web design. I am not upset by your code being backwards, neither should you be upset by receiving pointers on improving it.

In a place where professional adults meet to discuss web design, your conduct and attitude stand out as childish and snotty. There is no call to be rude simply because someone you have never met gives you suggestions after you solicit them.

It is silly for me to argue with or hold a grudge against someone who lacks maturity, and so I do not, but I fear you will one day meet someone who will not show you such grace. If you can learn to show common courtesy and respect to those you interact with, you will be at an advantage. If not, well, I suspect you will find out that you can't be unpleasant to people and still get what you want.

PHP Tip: If you want to use short tags (<? or <?=$var) then make sure short_open_tag is set to "1". It really helps.

Additionally, the dos and don'ts exist for concrete reasons. They are not 'phobias'. I suspect that if I began to list said reasons, you would not pay any heed to them regardless.
