    Telephone number input

Hi new to the forum and very new to coding etc, i have after some time and many many hours of research designed a template in Dreamweaver for eBay. Everything is nearly complete but im stuck on one final thing, can anyone tell me in very simple terms how to add a box that my customers can input there phone number and it be saved within the template so when i view the finished auction i have there number saved if this makes sense.

Im sorry if this is a stupid ask but im stumped and im pulling my hair out.

    thanks in advance.

All I can tell you is that this is not an HTML/CSS issue. This involves receiving and storing a piece of infomation. You'll need Javascript at the least, and quite possibly something far more complicated.
PHP Tip: If you want to use short tags (<? or <?=$var) then make sure short_open_tag is set to "1". It really helps.
