    Help with image scaling in css

    For the life of me I can't figure this out. Help would be much appreciated...

    Problem: The wordpress template i'm using is designed to have logo at maximum 300px width. This template is responsive for mobile/ipad. However my logo needs to be larger at 800px width for desktop resolution. However the currently coded template css won't scale it down and does not have replace image function. I tried using the max-width:100% method with no luck...

    test site: http://lgbeauty.archetypesf.net

    as you can see in test site i am able to load larger logo, but as the browser scales down the logo goes fixed and bleeds of the right edge. I need it to be able to scale down, or better yet is there a way to replace it with second logo modified for iphone / ipad resolution...

    current wordpress template css code:

    /* Header: Logo */

    header.header .logo { width: 300px; height: 140px; margin: 0 auto;}
    header.header .logo-image,
    header.header .logo-default { width: 300px; height: 190px; margin: -50px 0 0; padding: 0; text-align: center;}
    header.header .logo-image h1,
    header.header .logo-default h1 { display: block; padding: 0; margin: 0; }
    header.header .logo-image a,
    header.header .logo-default a { display: block; margin: 0; padding: 0; background-color: transparent; background-image: none;}

    Can you enlighten us with the solution please, which will help others in a similar situation
    My website http://torfaenpcrepair.com/ which is in need of a revamp as it was started with the hosts WYSWYG and needs to be converted to a full CSS built site,

    I have made a start but still a way to go :)
