Cool Problem with Images on Domain

I have been working on this website for where I work, and for some reason when I upload the site to the server a few of the images are not showing up.

The background and another image for the background of the sidebar are showing up. These two images are referenced from the CSS.

There are other images where only the alt text will show up. These images are referenced in the HTML to the images folder.

But also there are images that are referenced in the HTML that do show up.

Whenever I test the pages from the file in my browsers all of the images work fine. Its only when I put in on the server (or domain? I'm fairly new at this) that the images don't show up.

I've looked at the code pretty thoroughly and cannot find any real difference in between the ones that work and the ones that don't. So if I write the code here I doubt that the problem would be found.

Here is the links to the WORKING pages. The other ones should not be needed to find the problem (if the problem is even in the code?), the site is not navigable.

I hope someone could give me an answer, or ideas, or just some thoughts on this.

    Thank you!

I just did a quick check for the image on your left sidebar so I'm not sure if there are other images...but try lower casing (is that a word? lol) the image source. Change this:

    Code:
    images/SPI_logo_2.png
    to this:

    Code:
    images/spi_logo_2.png

I know that with linux servers the links are case sensitive so that could be your problem, also make sure that you images are in the folder that is being referenced such as /images

Excellent! Thank you both. I should have thought of that, because I've had that problem before.

Is there a good way to tell if a server is a linux server or not? just out of curiousity

i think you might be able to run a php test

    <? phpinfo(); ?>
    in a file called phpinfo.php

also try doing a who.is check I think that might tell you too
