    setting background of object player

    I posted this here because im sure this is a html css issue not a js issue.

    My music player does fine on IE but the background of it on FF is white and i cannot seem to get it go be transparent when it is closed like on IE.

    I have set the background div for the player div as transparent in the css.

    here is the page..

    http://www.teamxrossfire.com/index.php

    Any ideas on how to solve this on FF

    Thanks

    Hi there durangod,

    try it like this...
    Code:

    <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="playergv1.swf" height="24" width="290">
     <param name="movie" value="playergv1.swf" />
     <param name="flashVars" value="soundFile=audio/TravelingWilburys.mp3&amp;bg=0xf3e6d0&amp;leftbg=0x9d690e&amp;lefticon=0xF2F2F2&amp;rightbg=0x9d690e&amp;rightbghover=0xc18112&amp;righticon=0xF2F2F2&amp;righticonhover=0xFFFFFF&amp;text=0x000000&amp;slider=0x3d3323&amp;track=0x9b9181&amp;border=0xFFFFFF&amp;loader=0xf69e04&amp;autostart=yes&amp;loop=yes&amp;repeat=yes" />
     <param name="quality" value="high" />
     <param name="wmode" value="transparent" />

    Hello coothead

    yeah it might have been because i had an object inside an object, i did that to get away from being harrassed by w3c regarding the embed, as i am making this w3c compliant.

    Thanks so much, that works fantastic, and much less code..

    4 thumbs for that one
