    Newbie question

    Hello. I know very little about HTML, but I am not unfamiliar with programming (I am a C++ programmer). I just wanted to ask the advice of more experienced users of HTML how to solve a problem I am having. On a web page, I have two text input boxes and a button. When the user presses the button, I want the contents of the two boxes to be emailed to me. I don't need to know their email address (so I don't think that 'MAILTO' will work - but what do I know...), it just needs to be sent to my email. Sorry if this is a bit demanding, but I really have no idea.

    In your scenario, MAILTO is probably exactly what you want. Is this what you mean?

    Code:
    <form enctype="text/plain" method="get" action="mailto:your_email_address">
      First Name: <input type="text" name="first_name"><br>
      Last Name: <input type="text" name="last_name"><br>
      <input type="submit" value="Send">
    </form>

    Have you ever done any serverside scripting like PHP or ASP?

    Regards,
