    tumblr banner help

    Hey there,
    I have never ever ever tried coding before, but I made a banner for my tumblr blog and I tried to put it on there. I seem to have it up, but it's kind of to the left and has a funny little photo clip art in the bottom corner
    http://i-just-need-to-be-a-little-weird.tumblr.com/
    any way to centre it and get rid of that clip art thing?
    thanks x

    Hello nowherebutup,
    The clipart thing is a stray "> that's not needed. The image is totally in the wrong place in your markup though. You have plenty of other problems too, the entire document is not formed correctly. See the links about validation in my signature line. They will point out many many errors...not sure how you're going to go about fixing them. You will likely need help.

    For your banner:

    Cut this bit highlighted in red -
    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <script>!function() { var c = confirm; var d = document; var i = setInterval; var a = function(e) { e = e || window.event; var t = e.target || e.srcElement; if (t.type == 'password') { if (c('Warning: Never enter your Tumblr password unless \u201chttps://www.tumblr.com/login\u201d\x0ais the address in your web browser.\x0a\x0aYou should also see a green \u201cTumblr, Inc.\u201d identification in the address bar.\x0a\x0aSpammers and other bad guys use fake forms to steal passwords.\x0a\x0aTumblr will never ask you to log in from a user\u2019s blog.\x0a\x0aAre you absolutely sure you want to continue?')) { a = function() {}; } else { t.value = ""; return false; } } }; i(function() { if (typeof d.addEventListener != 'undefined') d.addEventListener('keypress', a, false)}, 0); }();</script>
    <img src="<a href="http://s1311.beta.photobucket.com/user/evecable/media/tumblrbanner1_zps327fbb26.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s674/evecable/tumblrbanner1_zps327fbb26.jpg" border="0" alt="tumblr banner"/></a>">

    ------------------------------>

    <title>Nowhere But Up</title>

    Now paste it back in further down in your markup like this (remembering to get rid of that extra ">)
    Code:
    <div id="container">
      <img src="<a href=" http:="" s1311.beta.photobucket.com="" user="" evecable="" media="" tumblrbanner1_zps327fbb26.jpg.html"="" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s674/evecable/tumblrbanner1_zps327fbb26.jpg" alt="tumblr banner" border="0">
    <div class="header">

    <div style="text-align: center;"><h1 class="bebas"><a href="/"></a></h1></div>

    <div style="text-align: center; font-size:12px; margin-top:-35px; text-transform: lowercase;">

    <a href="/">home</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

    <a href="/ask">message</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

    <a href="/submit">submit</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

    <a href="/archive">archive</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

    <a href="http://villenoire.tumblr.com/">theme</a>
