Question How to make my own news feed?

Hello, I would like to add my own sort of news feed to my site where I can post updates and events, etc. Kind of like a blog in a way. I am looking for a simple way of doing this. Help and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

An example of what I would like is the update/news feed on http://www.topbusinessfinance.com/

The simplest way is to add a blog such as WordPress to your site to provide the feed.

Look up tutorials for news systems, or content management systems.

Very easy thing to build. You really only need two things. A DB and some php to pull out the news from the DB. This is more general web building or php category based on the forum.

Essentially you'll want three functions add news, edit news, display news. Very very simple. i can tell you all kinds of ways, but trust me. Google news systems, and read around the PHP side of CF.

Felgall is 100% correct, however. WP is very easy to use, and it offers a ton of amazing features. Free open source projects like WP make the internet go. It's amazing to see what sites use WP to run them.

Would I be able to just implement the code on to my existing website or would I have to rebuild my website with Wordpress?

I would really prefer to refrain from rebuilding. I just found a free content management system, would this do what I am looking for?

You could just add a blog to your existing site and make it look alike. Some people put the software into a separate directory (e. g. /blog) and then link to it from their regular pages as http://example.com/blog. You can use any CMS with news/blog module for that. On http://www.opensourcecms.com/ there is a good overview over available systems.

You can do it in easy way. Use a blog page or use word press theme and enabled any news rss feed and past the link of that rss in your code.

Cute news used to be real popular.

You simply include the news feed in one of your web site pages. I didn't even think about it until now.
