    Shrink to fit "not working"

    Hi

I have a web page that is about 900px wide. Even when shrink to fit is set as default in browser (IE9 & Firefox), the content still spills off the right of the page yet, when I scale the page to 70% in the browser for example, it will print all the content successfully.

What precautions should I take within the HTML/CSS to ensure that Shrink to Fit actually does something useful?

    Thanks.

If this is for a public page, how do you intend to get users to set shrink to fit on their browser?

If it is just for you locally this should help but you have no control over user browser settings. If you want the page to size to the screen then you need to do a flexible design, without static dimensions.
100% standards compliant code is 100% correct 100% of the time.
one of my toys from my repository and perhaps some help getting help

    Thanks for the reply.

Sorry I should have said that this is for printing purposes. For those users who have shrink to fit set as default for printing, I'd like the page to print within the bounds of the printed page. It works when I use the scale option but not for shrink to fit. Must I use percentage widths for this to work?
